William Morris Poster "Snakeshead" (1877). Printed on high-quality fine art paper / Giclee.*
The pattern showcases one of Morris's favourite flowers: the fritillary, a wildflower that he remembered growing in the meadows near Oxford. This design stands out for its diminutive motifs and the strong red, black and blue colours, which were fashionable only for a short time before paler hues regained favour with clients.
This is a perfect housewarming gift, to decorate a blank space or as an addition to a gallery wall.
