Each method suits a different kind of artwork. Here is how they differ, what they are best for, and why you might choose one.
Traditional
A classic mount-and-moulding frame — the print sits behind glass with a mountboard border. The most versatile method, at home with any subject.
Best for: Prints, photographs, posters and open editions of every style.
Why choose it: The most adaptable, budget-friendly choice, with mouldings for every price point.
Elevated Float
The artwork is raised on a concealed platform so it stands proud of the mountboard, with a soft shadow gap between the paper and the moulding.
Best for: Bold contemporary prints and photography you want to feel modern.
Why choose it: A striking, gallery-modern presentation that adds dimension without a mount border.
Tray
An open frame with no glass, where the mounted piece sits gently recessed below the front lip of the moulding for a pared-back finish.
Best for: Stretched canvases and panel works with finished edges.

Box
A deeper frame that holds a distinct space between the glass and the artwork, giving the piece room and casting a subtle internal shadow.

Float
The sheet floats on top of a mountboard inside a spacer-built box, so the whole work — including its edge — sits behind glass with a gap all round.
